julia grace
Julia Grace has been working as an actor, teacher and directors consultant in Australia, New Zealand and the US for eighteen years. She has a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Dramatic Art from the VCA. She is also a graduate of the School at Steppenwolf and is the only Australian to have been mentored by members of Steppenwolf Theatre Company Chicago in their training methodologies. In 2017, she was awarded the 16th Street Foundation’s Teaching Scholarship to continue honing her teaching craft in the US.
She is currently a core teacher at 16th Street Actor’s Studio in Melbourne and also teaches sessionally at the VCA Drama, & Film & TV School.
She has performed for The Sydney International Arts Festival, Melbourne Theatre Company, Darlinghurst Theatre Company, The Hayloft Project, Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre, and appeared in numerous Australian television shows and commercials.
harry haynes
Harry Haynes is an award-winning director, teacher and actor from London. He has presented work across Europe and Australia in places like Shakespeare's Globe, The Almeida Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company, Meat Market, Theatre Works, The National Theatre (Melbourne) and taught at prestigious conservatoires across the world including Drama Centre London, RADA, 16th Street Actors Studio, The National Drama School. Harry is the recipient of The Sir John Gielgud Award and was awarded The Leverhulme Award for excellence in Performing Arts.
He brings a wealth of experience from having observed and assisted directors who have mastered the art of aliveness such as: Katie Mitchell, Di Trevis, and Ivo Van Hove. His process draws from this experience to enliven actors and to create an environment that is ever-changing, collaborative and community-building.

Limit of 12 actors
Participants will be allocated a scene to learn and prepare.
Please note: This intensive involves a lot of physical movement. If you’re unsure about this aspect, please get in touch to discuss.
